2010 Barolo - A stunning vintage in its own right

by Atlas Fine Wines | Apr 16, 2014

We were very pleased that Jancis Robinson cited in her article in the FT earlier this week, that amongst her favourite 20 wines of the Barolo 2010 vintage, were the wines by Vietti, Massolino,  Chiaria Boschis and Elio Grasso.

It is a shame that she writes of the 2010 Barolo vintage in the context of high Bordeaux 2013 prices and low Burgundy 2012 volumes as this is such an exceptional Barolo vintage in it's own right. Please see our original offer followed by commentary from Simon Larkin. He attended the Vinitaily fair in Verona earlier this month with colleagues Andrew Caslin and Victoria Stephens-Clarkson and was incredibly impressed with the wines that he tasted.

We aim to keep our clients up to date with the latest industry news and share with them our own opinions. This section covers all things wine: producer interviews, market movements, auction results, tasting notes and vintage updates. Our intention is to be incredibly selective and only provide commentary on areas which we believe are relevant to our clients and their interests.
