Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media acquires Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Stephen Tanzer, arguably one of the world's most respected wine commentators, has just announced that he has sold the International Wine Cellar to Antonio Galloni and will join the Vinous Media team as Editor-in Chief. 

Tanzer began publishing the IWC in 1985, which quickly became a renowned source for independent wine criticism. The IWC team will also be joining Vinous and their archives will also be made available to both databases. 

This venture will make Vinous Media home to more than 180,000 wine reviews and over 1,000 wine articles. Vinous Media, founded in 2013 when Galloni left Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, has developed into one of the most in-depth publishing platforms dedicated solely to wine. It boasts written commentary, videos and a partnership with both Cellar Tracker and Google Maps.
